The most brutal and barbaric approach to music in the modern day, death metal is something that can only be appreciated by a select few. Featuring a wicked fast pace, down-tuned guitars, blistering percussion onslaught with blastbeats-aplenty, and gut-spewing harsh vocals, death metal can make children cry and priests flee in fear. Death metal often features themes such as one might find in a horror movie - brutal bloodshed and torture, war, and torment for pleasure.
