Utilizing complex riffs, speed metal leads, and a pace and tenacity unheard of in music for the time, thrash received a rather unwelcoming response, viewed as satanic, obnoxious and a bad influence on children. Thrash metal often features themes of nihilism, rage, and negative political and religious views. Other names include: Testament, Overkill, Kreator and Sepultura jbg. zna komp sta slusam | |

| Traditional/Heavy Metal The original form of heavy metal, with it's rock n' roll and blues influences. Created by the monster Black Sabbath riff by Toni Iommi, this form utilizes the original heavy sound, with distorted guitars and clean vocals, powerful drums and a classic sound. All modern metal bands can claim their influence from these early greats. Bands under this category include: Black Sabbath (the founders), Judas Priest, Dio, Motorhead, Iron Maiden, Saxon, ect. | Death Metal The most brutal and barbaric approach to music in the modern day, death metal is something that can only be appreciated by a select few. Featuring a wicked fast pace, down-tuned guitars, blistering percussion onslaught with blastbeats-aplenty, and gut-spewing harsh vocals, death metal can make children cry and priests flee in fear. Death metal often features themes such as one might find in a horror movie - brutal bloodshed and torture, war, and torment for pleasure. Death metal bands include: Death, Cannibal Corpse, Necrophagist, Bloodbath, Behemoth, and melodic death metal such as Bolt Thrower, Amon Amarth, and At The Gates. | |
